    Yes it is an inexpensive item, but does what I need it to do! I especially like the large thumb screw for tightening the iron. I ran the sole over a stone and rubbed some wax on it. Ran the back of the iron on a stone then stropped it and it shaved hair. The casting is comfortable in the hand. I should get many years of use from this plane.

    This is a very stout mini plane and of course as any mass produced product at this price it requires a little TLC to get it up to snuff….. I purchased three of these… two to be used as inset planes … I think they will do the job nicely
