One of the best values I’ve seen, if you’re looking for palette knives, November 30, 2017

These painting knives (also called palette knives, by some of us) are high quality and ridiculously good for the price. I’m a third-generation artist, so I grew up with palette knives in my mom’s studio and my grandfather’s workshop. I know quality, and I’m accustomed to paying far more for this kind of product.

Of course, it depends on how flexible (or rigid) you like your palette knives. For me, these are good middle-of-the-road, all-purpose knives for acrylics and oil paints. The range of sizes & shapes is excellent, and the price is kind of mind-boggling, because it’s so low for such good products.

My only issue with these is that they’re huge! The handles are hard to work with because they’re so big and long. That may work for some people, but the brushes seem abnormally long to me, which makes them difficult to work with. I just figured I would give people a heads up.

These are waaaay too long for watercolor brushes. I ended up sawing off and sanding the ends. They also reek! Either the glue or the paint they use in assembly smells highly toxic.

That said, they have nice points and don’t seem to be shedding yet. You could do worse for so little money.
