These are great hammers I love the Stanley anti-vibe system for framing hammers and it will be the only kind of hammer ill use their excellent as far as material workmanship they take the stress off your hands when you’re pounding on nails and wood all day they can take a beating they last forever just keep them out of water spray some WD-40 on it keep rust to a minimum the little nail set thing on top I never was to good at using it I suppose it would work better for someone who practiced with it more this hammer is an excellent Stanley product everything you would expect from Stanley

I used to frame houses professionally for about a year. I developed carpal tunnel in my right wrist while swinging a mini-sledge laying a hardwood floor. Now I’m a DIY guy & take the occasional side jobs. I bought this sexy ass 28oz hammer on amazon after seeing a lighter one in a store. I recently used it to frame two walls & build shelves 12ft long by about 8ft tall. This hammer sunk each nail it touched with ease, AND I HAD NO PAIN IN MY WRIST OR HAND! I don’t know how they did it, but this hammer is EXCELLENT at reducing shock to your hand & wrist. I told my wife that I wanted to have sex with the hammer (a joke, but I actually said it).
As far as the handle snagging on a metal ring on your tool belt…. I use an old cheap belt. I’m right handed so I keep the hammer loop just to the right of center, over my right but cheek. Never had a problem. I flick the hammer up, & slide it back in with ease. Over, & over again. :p
The magnetic nail guide/holder does work, but takes some getting used to. You can’t just slam it in there. Tap the magnified nail in there gently the first time to set it, then slam away. 😉
Anyway, I absolutely love this hammer & highly recommend it.

Bought hoping to replace the cheesy hammer that came with my Pittsburgh 130 pc tool kit. It fit perfectly and is a higher quality hammer than what was originally included with the kit. I wouldnt tackle a roof or anything with this hammer, but as far as a household project hammer, it fits the bill nicely.
Everyone should own an 8 oz claw hammer. Can’t find them at hardware stores so I had to order through Amazon. Can’t say enough good about the Amazon return policy so had no problem making the purchase. It is a well made little hammer.
Hammer is perfect. I was looking for a smaller and lighter weight hammer to use in the house for small projects like hanging pictures, etc and the 8 oz size is perfect. It was delivered promptly and the price was reasonable as well.
These are great hammers I love the Stanley anti-vibe system for framing …,
I’m not a contractor,
Like: Extra weight and size compared to my Estwing 16oz finish hammer of 20 years. Magnet on top of head for picking up nails/screws
Don’t Like: Length – necessary for driving framing nails, but not so good as a primary in demo work. Other tools fill the void.
Sexy hammer 4 my carpal tunnel wrist!,
