This review is from: DEWALT DW4523 4-1/2-Inch by 1/4-Inch by 5/8-Inch General Purpose Metal Grinding Wheel (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought 2 of the dewalt brand cutting/gringing wheels – the 1/8 for a narrow kerf and where I was mainly going to cut, plus the 1/4 for surface finishing or post welding touch up.
You need to hand tighten these with the arbor lock button pressed pretty good or they will spin themselvs off when the trigger is released due to the weight and inertia. There is no locking system used on these since they have embedded screw threads that mate with the arbor.
The embedded mesh lets you do face work even with withe 1/8″ blade, so it’s sort of a do-all, but for work where I want to bear down on it I bought the 1/4″
The dewalt quality is definitely here in these cutting surfaces, from the threadded screw-on convenience to the mesh in the compound to protect against breakage.

Very good wheel that won’t wear out quickly. Have been using it a lot on various projects involving metalwork I have. Love Dewalt tools and they don’t disappoint

This review is from: ATD Tools 3746 Full Face Grinding Shield (Automotive)
Did it’s job on a few occasions. Kept sparks out if my face while grinding away at some inner fenders, kept wood debris out of my face and eyes while using my chainsaw, and most importantly saved my lady getter (face) from certain damage when a pitman arm puller popped off and came flying at me. I rather enjoy the tinted shield as well, it’s great outside in the sun and allows me to wear my glasses since getting sawdust in your eyes with contacts in is a rather uncomfortable experience. Overall I recommend this product most definitely.

Great price. Wrong picture.,
The picture is wrong but it is a DeWalt DW4523. The big difference from the picture is the hole is threaded.
