… But not as accommodating as I hoped they (2 pack) would be. I will find some other bracket to hang my string trimmer, the ‘arms’ of the hook being way too short. But, they are solid enough for a maul/sledge or large coil of wire that needs to be hung out of the way. Just temper your expectations for size…

Bought several of these to hang brooms, snow shovels, rakes, etc from my garage walls. These are a very innovative product. The screw is a taped screw that has more aggressive teeth at the end to bite into your stud, and drywall type teeth for the rest of it. I mounted all of mine to studs with 5/8″ drywall, which took no pre-drilling. I mounted 10 of these on studs in about 15 minutes (including leveling, snapping line etc.) Very easy product to install and solid. I did install one hook-type on a wall that didn’t have a stud, and I am sure it will hold since it is a low use, but you can definitely notice if it has a stud backer rather than only on dry-wall. If you are installing something heavy with high usage on a drywall, you may want to think about mounting it with a snap-toggle. Link below.

I have used it in drywall or wood and it works awesome. They carry them at lowes too, but I think the price is competitive at amazon and you dont have to drive there.
