This review is from: Dremel 662DR 1/8-Inch Glass Drilling Bit with Cutting Oil (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a hollow diamond bit so, unlike regular drill bits, you do not have to drill half way through the glass, then flip it over and drill through the back in order to avoid blowing out the back. This is a big plus in my book as drilling through the back can be really hard to line up properly.
It comes with an oil that I have yet to use. I put the glass I’m drilling in a pan of tap water and hold one side down with my finger. Not terribly professional but it gets the job done easily. I prefer using water because I don’t risk the glass getting so hot that it cracks. However, I’ve only drilled small pieces of glass and this method is probably not very appropriate for larger pieces.
The noise generated by the diamonds against glass is ear-splitting. I highly recommend using ear protection when using this product. And, of course, if you do use water, take the necessary precautions you would when using any electrical tool around water.
The only con I can think of is that dremmel does not have a smaller size bit like this.

I use this to grind down tempered glass, no more than 1/16 of an inch. It works for this purpose So I am happy with it. When first using it it works really great for grinding, but after too short of a while it takes more time to do this. I just wish for the price it could grind longer at an optimum rate.

Not sure what the deal was with this bit. It arrived new in package. I opened it, installed it and it wouldn’t cut anything. Junk! Very interesting as I have purchased these in quantity from other vendors and they worked great. Don’t know what was up but I will not buy again. Sticking with my other vendors.
