The hatchet is small but for camping it is semi-lightweight yet very sturdy and handy. the handle is comfortable for my large hand. the Hatchet is fairly balanced and came very sharp.

I got this a few days ago for a camping trip in a few weeks, and so far the hatchet holds up for chopping firewood for the bbq. It’s a little small, but has a decent grip. The sheath, however, refuses to cover the top point of the blade, leaving a sharp edge sticking out. The blade sticks out just enough to stab or slice into anything you happen to have in your backpack with it, like a water bladder in the next compartment. Anyone who wants to use this for hiking should probably sew an extra inch or so on the sheath to avoid losing something they need.

This is a cool camp axe, small lightweight, super sharp, but much smaller, and thinner than I expected. The wood handle scales are nice and solid, sheath is ok, nothin spectacular. I guess it is pretty much what they advertise. The upward pointed tip of blade is what gives the misleading length measurment of the tool.

A few more inches and a lil’ heavier and it would be exactly what I was looking for. But for the price, well worth it I guess.
